Latest PDPA Update (2024 Amendment)

Malaysia passed the Personal Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2024 (Act A1727). The amendment was gazetted on October 18, 2024, with phased commencement across January 1, 2025, April 1, 2025, June 1, 2025, September 1, 2025, and December 1, 2025.

• Processor accountability: where vendors process personal data for us, contractual and operational controls are applied.
• Cross-border transfers: transfers outside Malaysia are managed using safeguards in line with PDPA requirements and current guidance.
